Ingredients

  • 1 lb macaroni pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Steps

  1. 1Cook macaroni pasta according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside
  2. 2Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
  3. 3Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes
  4. 4Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant
  5. 5Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes
  6. 6Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes
  7. 7Season with salt, black pepper, and cumin
  8. 8Add the cooked macaroni to the beef mixture and toss to combine
  9. 9Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through and allow flavors to meld
