Restaurant-style chicken chow mein with juicy marinated chicken, crunchy vegetables, and perfectly saucy noodles tossed in a sizzling wok.

Ingredients

  • noodles, boiled
  • 0.5 cup boneless chicken, sliced
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic, sliced
  • 2 tbsp green onions
  • 0.5 cup capsicum
  • carrot
  • cabbage
  • 1 tsp tikka masala
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp red chili flakes
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp cornflour
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 0.25 cup tomato or chili garlic ketchup
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce

Steps

  1. 1Marinate sliced chicken with tikka masala, vinegar, red chili flakes, black pepper, cornflour, salt to taste, soy sauce, and hot sauce.
  2. 2Prepare sauce mix by combining tomato or chili garlic ketchup, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, hot sauce, oil, and a pinch of salt.
  3. 3Heat oil in a wok and sauté sliced garlic until fragrant.
  4. 4Add marinated chicken to the wok and cook until done.
  5. 5Add capsicum, carrot, and cabbage and stir-fry until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  6. 6Season with salt, black pepper, chili flakes, and chicken powder.
  7. 7Add boiled noodles to the wok.
  8. 8Pour the prepared sauce mix over the noodles and toss everything well until evenly coated.
  9. 9Serve hot.
