  • 1 lb chicken thigh, boneless, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red pepper paste
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.33 cup sour cream
  • 4 large lavash breads
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 0.5 cup pickled cucumbers, sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup french fries
  • parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 2 lb chicken breast and thigh, boneless, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste (optional)
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 4 large lavash bread
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

Steps

  1. 1Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, dried oregano, lemon juice, olive oil, red pepper paste, and minced garlic for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. 2Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken for 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked through.
  3. 3In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, olive oil, finely grated garlic, garlic powder, smoked paprika (optional), and black pepper until the sauce is smooth. Adjust salt to taste.
  4. 4Lay out each lavash bread and spread a generous amount of garlic sauce evenly with a spoon.
  5. 5Layer shredded lettuce, the cooked chicken, diced tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, pickled cucumber slices, and French fries over the lavash.
  6. 6Drizzle additional garlic sauce over the fillings.
  7. 7Roll each lavash tightly to enclose the fillings.
  8. 8In a lightly greased skillet, toast each side of the rolled lavash over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until the outside is golden and crispy.
  9. 9Slice the toasted lavash sandwich in half and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
  10. 10Serve immediately and enjoy your garlic chicken lavash sandwich.
