Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Forkasted ("the app", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

What Forkasted Does

Forkasted is a family meal planning application that allows you to:

  • Save and organize recipes from around the web and social media.
  • Generate weekly meal plans based on your dietary preferences.
  • Create and manage grocery lists from your meal plans.
  • Share meal plans and recipe libraries with your household through family sharing.
  • Follow step-by-step cooking instructions in Cook Mode.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Forkasted.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or excessively query the app.
  • Abuse the recipe import feature in a way that violates the terms of third-party platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook).
  • Share your account credentials with others outside of the intended family sharing feature.

Recipe Content & Copyright

Forkasted allows you to import and save recipes from third-party websites and social media platforms for your personal use. You are responsible for ensuring your use of imported recipe content complies with the original creator's terms and copyright.

Recipes you save in Forkasted are stored privately for your personal and household use only. We do not redistribute, republish, or share your saved recipes with other users outside your family group.

Family Sharing

The family sharing feature allows you to invite household members to share access to your recipe library, meal plans, and grocery lists. By inviting someone to your family group, you grant them access to all content in your shared library. You can remove family members at any time from your account settings.

Service Availability

We strive to keep Forkasted available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime due to factors outside our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

Limitation of Liability

Forkasted is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to errors in recipe imports, inaccuracies in ingredient quantities, or data loss.

Nutritional information, if displayed, is provided for general guidance only and should not be relied upon for medical or dietary decisions.

Termination

You may stop using Forkasted and request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us at support@forkasted.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
